What is the Leo Cares initiative?
Leo Cares is Leo Workwear’s commitment to sustainability and social responsibility. It covers every stage of a garment’s lifecycle—from initial design and material sourcing, right through to responsible end-of-life recycling.
What makes Leo Workwear garments durable?
Leo carefully selects high-quality materials and components to extend product life. This includes:
Premium fabrics and reflective tapes chosen for specific performance needs.
Branded components like YKK® zippers, VELCRO® brand fasteners, and Cordura® panels, known for strength and longevity.
Strong construction methods that withstand the demands of tough working environments.
How does Leo Workwear test garment durability?
Every product is rigorously tested to meet ISO 20471 standards, including wash cycle performance. More than half of the EcoViz® range is certified to 50 wash cycles—twice the industry standard—so garments keep workers safe and last longer.
Does Leo Workwear still use plastic bags for packaging?
To keep garments clean, dry, and protected before use. However, we only use the Leo Cares bag, made from 100% recycled plastic and fully recyclable. Bags include BDP® biotechnology, which allows microbes to consume plastic completely within a few years — leaving behind only compost and natural gas, with no microplastics.
How does Leo reduce the impact of product transportation to us?
Sea Freight: 99% of our goods are shipped by sea (air freight only in emergencies).
DPD Partnership: Deliveries are handled by DPD, chosen for their low-carbon strategy including recyclable packaging, eliminating single-use plastics, waste recycling, and using 100% renewable energy.
